WATA marks Jamaica 60th with $12m in education grants

WATA is marking Jamaica’s 60th anniversary of Independence with a special tribute label and an education initiative for students and teachers. The water brand, produced by Wisynco, has wrapped its 600 millilitres (ml) bottles in a bright yellow label which boasts the official Jamaica 60 logo. Also on the label is a pledge to contribute $1 from the sale of each bottle, up to $12 million, to an education initiative which will benefit students and teachers. “Wisynco was founded in 1965 and is a very proud product of independent Jamaica. We are thankful for our country and express our gratitude by joining in national celebrations wholeheartedly. This is why, for Jamaica 60th we are celebrating with purpose by giving back through the ‘WATA Jamaica 60th Education Initiative’,” said Andrew Mahfood, CEO of the Wisynco Group.
