Stadium Lights Donation to STETHS

St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) was gifted a set of stadium-style lights for the school’s athletic field through the WISYNCO Loyalty Programme this September.

These new lights, will aid the highly competitive rural school with hosting tournament games such as DaCosta Cup football.

The WISYNCO Loyalty Program is a partnership with educational institutions which carry WISYNCO beverages and products on the school compounds. Schools who participate in this program are able to use their loyalty funds for school improvement projects.

STETHS has benefited in a major way through this program, by acquiring poles and flood lighting for their athletic field.

“Our field is very popular in the community as it’s frequently used for School Boy Football as well as by the National Premier League,” said Keith Wellington, Principal for St. Elizabeth Technical High School. “We’re pleased to have the lights installed just in time for the football season, as the school can look forward to an increase in revenue and this will decrease time constraints that we previously faced for matches.”

With a much-anticipatedDacosta Cup match against Munro College scheduled for Saturday, September 30, the lights have been erected at the perfect time.

“WISYNCO as a company has always supported an active lifestyle, so we are more than happy to make this sort of investment in St. Elizabeth Technical High School. STETHS is noted for their undisputed football team and athletic programme – one of the best in the rural areas,” said Sherri Jackson, Food Service & Schools Marketing Coordinator at WISYNCO. “The school has definitely earned their reward and I wish the team the best of luck in their match against Munro College this Saturday,” said Jackson.

The addition of these lights are a big improvement for not just the school but also the community at large. Athletes can look forward to longer training hours and more flexible hours for matches. Look out for the Dacosta Cup match featuring St. Elizabeth Technical High School and Munro College this Saturday, September 30 to get a closer look at the upgraded field.
