Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) has licensed Wisynco Group Limited to use the standard agency’s Jamaica-Made Mark (JMM) on its beverage products.
The agreement was signed Thursday.
The JMM programme recognises companies which use in their production process a minimum of 51 per cent of raw materials or at least 70 per cent of input originating in Jamaica.
The mark is meant to authenticate origin.
The BSJ says the licence is for two years and is applicable to three Wisynco products.
The St Catherine-based company manufactures its own brands, namely Wata, CranWata, Bigga soft drinks and Boom energy drink. It also distributes a number of global brands, some of which are bottled at its plant.
